Nextflow feature requests

Modified on Fri, 23 Dec 2022 at 10:42 AM

Although developed by Seqera Labs, Nextflow is an open-source software project with a public code repository on GitHub. The Nextflow repository is the primary point of engagement for its user base and developer community.

If you’d like to request new Nextflow features or enhancements of existing features, please use the Nextflow GitHub repository to create a new issue. Existing Nextflow issues can be viewed here — if a cursory search for your request does not yield any results, create a new issue describing your request with as much detail as possible.

  1. From the Issues page, select New issue on the top right.
  2. Select Get started next to New feature.
  3. Populate the necessary fields of the new feature template, and give the issue an appropriate title.
  4. Select Submit new issue.

Nextflow enhancement requests are selected and approved based on feasibility, development workload, and value. As such, not all enhancement and feature requests to Nextflow become production Nextflow features.
